Despite the frigid cold weather, Special Olympics was still a success. The Special Olympics took place on May 13 at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.
Saegertown was represented by many outstanding students. These included middle school students Scott Proper, Sierra Miller, Hannah Reilley, and Efrain Vega Vega, and high school students Jason Heimbrook, Megan Urquhart, Morgan Courtney, Brendon Courtney, Isabella Weier, Megan Courson, and Cj Mook.
They participated in many different events. Some of these include the 50 and 100 meter dash, the javelin throw, the long jump, and cornhole. “My favorite event was the 100m dash,” said Mook. “My favorite part of the day was being able to participate with all of my friends,” said Weier.

The MDS students that participated were Travis Janowski and Kasey Prall. These students participated in the wheelchair races, cornhole, and the javelin throw.
