The first annual Lip Sync hosted by Aevidum took place on Feb 26 in the auditorium. Five groups participated in the event. “I think it went well, and I think that everyone who came enjoyed watching the show,” said Aevidum president Emily Ford. There were about one hundred people who came out to support their friends as they performed to their favorite songs and skits. Some of the performances included an SNL skit, a High School Musical duet, the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana, and a solo performance.

At the end of the night, juniors Sydney Kightlinger and Rachel Barner came out on top with the win. They sang “I Can do Anything Better Than You” from the musical Annie Get Your Gun. “I was looking for famous duets, and I thought that this was funny and we could easily make our costumes,” said Kightlinger.
Some did it because they wanted to do something fun with their friends. “I wanted to do it because it was out of my comfort zone,” said Barner.
Even though everyone was there for different reasons, in the end the night was a success and everyone had a great time. “We are already trying to organize another lip sync with student council,” said Ford.
