The long anticipated “Youth for Christ” cafe Common Grounds is finally becoming a reality. The hard work put forth for this cafe dedicated to the youth in our community is paying off. Common Grounds, located at Grotto Park just outside of Saegertown, is going to be a cafe for teens. Youth for Christ envisions this cafe as a place where the youth in our community can enjoy themselves and socialize in a positive atmosphere free from

negative influences. According to the publicity release, “Common Grounds will have an atmosphere full of love and hope offered by people who like working with the youth and have a passion for Jesus.”
The progress of Common Grounds is going full speed ahead. “We have over 100 people involved with a core group of 12. We will begin renovations later this month and plan to begin having an outdoor cafe and events in June. The enclosed cafe will open in the fall,” said Dennette Adams, the Youth for Christ leader.
Join Common Grounds Sunday, May 15 at 4 p.m. to consecrate the grounds and celebrate. A work day is scheduled on May 21 beginning at 9 a.m. For future updates, find Common Grounds on Facebook.
