The Art Club
This year art teacher Angela Granat started the Art Club, which meets every other Tuesday after school. So far, there are eight members who attend regularly.
“We may have a small number of members, but we have a great time,” president Hazel Peel said.
“I started an art club to give students an opportunity to be in the art room if they don’t have art during the day,” Mrs. Granat said. “And a place for students who have art to do more of their own art.”
Members work on any personal art projects they would like to finish, and the club plans and designs projects that beautify the school.
At the moment, they are working on a mural for the school’s cardio room. Once they finish the mural, they will be working on the props for prom.
“I am pleased there is an art club this year,” Mrs. Granat said. “Future goals are to get more members and to create more art to be displayed in the school.”
If you have any questions or would be interested in joining the art club, please contact Mrs. Granat.
