Love is in the air as SPA (Saegertown Pride Alliance) is holding a Valentine Unity Meet in the library on Wednesday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The club members will provide refreshments, games, and entertainment.
The current SPA members have invited students from across the district, along with students from Meadville. “I hope we have more people and expand our reach,” treasurer Arion Knott (he/him) said. “So we can invite more people and help others understand exactly what we do in SPA.”
President of SPA, Zorian Edwards (he/they), says this unity meet will celebrate all forms of love and spread positivity within the Saegertown community. “The purpose of having our unity meets is to help those who feel alone find a sense of friendship and community through the struggles we all face in life,” Edwards said. “Our club is growing every year, and we are always looking for new friends.”
SPA has prepared an exciting afternoon with activities such as Just Dance, karaoke, and creative writing. “I’m super excited! I can’t wait to see everyone and see people interacting in a positive light,” Knott said, “It’s a wonderful break from all the world’s chaos where we can truly be ourselves.”
SPA always has its doors open to all members and allies. All are welcome to join the meetings in room 215 every Wednesday after school until 4:15 p.m.
