The Pogues are back on their treasure-hunting adventures in season four of the beloved Netflix classic “Outer Banks.” Half of season four was released on October 10, 2024. “Outer Banks,” rated TV-MA and beginning in 2020, follows a group of teenagers navigating a web of mysteries in their hometown of Outer Banks. The series features Chase Stokes as John B, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Madison Bailey as Kiara and Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron.
Season three of “Outer Banks” was the most chaotic yet and followed the teens as they tried to find gold buried centuries ago to transform their lifestyles from rags to riches. The characters had to beat Singh in the deadly race to find the treasure of El Dorado, which was extremely dangerous, but they were able to bring some treasure back with them.
In season four of “Outer Banks,” the Pogues are recognized for their treasure-hunting achievements and must now find how to spend their newfound fortune. As the teens decide to buy JJ’s father’s old land, they face a new set of challenges and a new treasure-hunting opportunity involving the pirate Blackbeard that could lead them to a treasure even greater than El Dorado. However, the Pogues must work against the clock, as mercenary Lightner and his crew are working to get to the treasure, and are willing to fight whatever gets in their way. Throughout the season, the Pogues must work together to decide if the ends will be worth the means, or if they are putting themselves in unnecessary danger.
Part one of season four left viewers wondering what will happen in the next part of the series. The fifth episode ended with many cliffhangers, leaving the teens in danger. Fans are unsure of what will happen in the next part, but they have taken to social media with their predictions of what will happen next. Will the Pogues be able to find Blackbeard’s treasure, or will they be stopped by Lightner and his crew? All will be revealed on November 7 when part two of season four could confirm or deny fans’ conspiracies.
