The spring season of 2025 starts off with Marvel releasing a new production of Captain America on February 14th which has many fans excited to see how this story plays out.

Initially the movie starts off with Sam “finding himself in the middle of an international incident after meeting President Thaddeus Ross. He must soon discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red,” as stated by Wikipedia. However, many fans do not seem pleased with the outcome of the movie.

Fans state that the movie has been horribly demonstrated by Marvel and its productions as the CGI wasn’t as great as it has been in past years. “I’m disappointed it was very underwhelming,” says Mason Boleratz. Thus making the movie hard to follow through since its graphics and “realness” of the film wasn’t “top tier” as seen in previous years of work.

In addition to the horrible CGI the plot too was also horrible as its timeline was very far screwed and odd to connect to the cinematic universe as explained through the franchise. The timeline of the movie was set two years after Sam Wilson became Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Which I guess in technical terms is the “latest addition to the cinematic timeline.”

With a turn, fans were surprised to see that there was a surprise character brought back on screen. It was Bucky who was seen talking to Sam as he spoke about “if he could really handle being the new face of Captain America and if he should’ve taken the serum that they had taken before their “transformations” for success.

Overall this movie can still be watched and enjoyed by many. It just isn’t seen as their “best work.” Perhaps with newer films produced and added onto the multiverse they may “up” their game.
