Saegertown is full of musically and theatrically talented students. And several have chosen to showcase those talents in local theater productions at Meadville’s Academy Theatre.
Beginning January 12, senior Scout Van Cise, junior Madison Morgan, and sophomore Oliver Smith will take the stage in the theatre’s first production of the year “Jesus Christ Superstar.” The show is considered an opera and is being directed by Jason Shaffer. Van Cise said, “This is my first show, so I’m anxious to see how it turns out, but I’m confident that it will be great. The actors involved are all extraordinarily talented, so I know that it will be a fantastic show!”
The show will run Friday through Sunday January 12-28 with all performances taking place at 7:30 p.m. except Sundays, which will have a matinee performance at 2 p.m. There will also be an additional 2 p.m. performance on January 20. Tickets are $16 for students, $18 for seniors, and $20 for adults. You can order your tickets now by calling the box office at 814-337-8000 or online by visiting theacademytheatre.org.
