Coming into the holiday season, StuCo will be holding a variety show. The event will be held here at Saegertown on Dec. 20 during what would be a WINN afternoon activity (we will be having a block bell schedule on the last two days before break). They aimed to keep the tradition of the lip sync, but wanted to include all aspects of student life. “We are all about improving the inclusion of student involvement at SHS, and we thought the variety show concept would support that,” said Student Council Vice President, Travis Peters.
The variety show gives the students of Saegertown a chance to shine in the most unique ways. We have many singers, guitarists, dancers, and comedians hiding within these walls.

StuCo had many plans for December, but there was a time constraint. “We knew we had to do a lip sync,” the members of StuCo said. “That was a must. So, to tie it all in, we decided to have a variety show.”
This is definitely a time for joy, and that is exactly what StuCo has on their agenda
“Our hopes for this variety show are to not only pump-up students before Christmas break but also, to promote Christmas spirit,” Peters said. “We hope that this event would encourage students to be proud of their school and to express their talents and charisma in other activities and programs within our school.”
Worried you will perform alone? Not with StuCo around. After their legendary win last year–the Saegertown Six lip syncing to Beyoncé’s hit classic “Run the World”–they will be returning to the stage.
“We have been talking about a lip sync performance in StuCo for a while now. We are excited to perform and also to see what wonderful talent is in store at this variety show,” Peters said.
