Prom is on Saturday, May 16. Most girls, myself included, are already searching for outfits and making preparations. Some of us have been calling places to schedule appointments and making plans well in advance. While some people prefer to get ready at the last minute, others start planning months ahead to ensure everything is just right. Everyone approaches prom preparations in their own way, and that’s part of what makes the evening special.
Prom will be held at The Rambler at 24527 US-6 in Cambridge Springs, PA, on Saturday, May 16. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the event starts at 7:00 PM, ending at 10:00 PM. The cost to attend the event is 25 dollars per person.
The indoor area is beautifully decorated by Mrs. Granat, Mr. Greco, Mrs. Peters, and the handful of people that are part of the prom committee of 10th graders, who will help with setup, check-in, and the drink station. This year’s theme focuses on the casino with A Night in Vegas—no real gambling involved!
Prom features a DJ more than happy to take your song suggestions, food and drink stations with fruit, vegetables, and cookies or brownies, plus round tables for sitting or resting and a photo booth for memories. You can have fun on a date, with friends, or by yourself. No matter what happens, prom will be a special day for everybody.
If it is your first time at prom or if you have gone in the past, this year’s theme seems to be really fun. Mrs. Granat and Mr. Greco have been ordering and making all the decorations. The closer we get to the day, the more things are being done, like planning out the day in advance, planning where pictures are going to be, where you’re eating dinner at, and more.
Prom is a big deal for those who take it seriously. They plan in advance and make sure that everything is ready and perfect for the special day.
