Zoo Boo is a popular event hosted by the Erie Zoo in Erie, Pennsylvania. This is an event that the Erie Zoo has been hosting for 35 years, since its first “Zoo Boo” event in 2001. This event will be filled with fun and entertainment for all ages.
The Zoo Boo event at the Erie Zoo takes place from Thursday, October 16th, through Thursday, October 30th. This event runs from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM each night, with the last admissions for each night being at 8:15 PM. This year, during Zoo Boo, the Erie Zoo will be hosting many fun-filled activities. Some of these activities include: Trick-or-Treat booths, jokes from the Troll at his bridge, dancing at DJ Bill Page’s Spooky Jukebox, Eerie Train Express rides, and more!
New to the Erie Zoo Boo this year will be events such as a Sensory Friendly Night and a Silent Disco. The Sensory Friendly Night will be the first night of Zoo Boo, on October 16th. This event provides a fun and safe opportunity for everyone to enjoy this event. Additionally, a Silent Disco will be held, where guests can dance the night away in a fun and unique way! Music will be family-friendly, coming through on wireless headphones available for participants to borrow during the event.
Furthermore, the Erie Zoo is bringing back a beloved Zoo Boo contest. For the 2025 Zoo Boo event, the contest’s theme is “Make-a-Scarecrow.” Details for this contest are posted on the Erie Zoo contest page found on their website. Additionally, tickets for this year’s Zoo Boo event will be sold at prices ranging from $8 to $15, depending on whether the guest is planning on participating in their Trick-or-Treat event and whether the guest is a member of the Erie Zoo. The nightly entertainment schedule for this event is also posted on the Erie Zoo website, including what themes each night’s entertainment will be for the duration of the Zoo Boo event.
